SOLKA

The SOLKA spreader – salt spreader is used for winter road and street maintenance. The operation of the spreader is controlled from an analogue panel in the driver’s cab. The hopper is made of S235JRG1 carbon steel. The hopper is equipped with a steel bar screen and a movable weight for loosening bulk materials. The construction of the discharge chute, chute trough, and spreading disc is made of stainless steel. The disc cover is made of polyethylene. The lifting of the chute is assisted by two gas springs.

The SOLKA spreader is equipped with a hydraulically driven profiled belt conveyor that moves on a plastic base plate. Belt tension is adjusted using 2 screws. The SOLKA spreader can optionally be equipped with a brine system. The de-icing material can be moistened with a saline solution with a concentration of up to 22%, also known as “brine”. The use of brine allows the consumption of de-icing material to be reduced by up to 30%. The brine system consists of a brine pump driven by a hydraulic motor, a piping system, tanks, and a system for delivering brine to the spreading disc.
