    BIZON

    BIZON

BIZON – Autonomous Measurement Station for Testing Natural EFL Surfaces

BIZON is a mobile, autonomous research vehicle designed to perform measurements and assess the condition of natural airfield surfaces of the EFL type (Engineered Field Landing Strips), in accordance with the current guidelines of international aviation organizations such as:

    • ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization),
    • EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency),

as well as the national defense standard NO-17-A503:2017, which specifies operational requirements for airfield pavements used by aircraft.

The BIZON vehicle was developed for use at airports and airfields where fast, precise, and repeatable testing of the operational properties of ground surfaces (both natural and artificially reinforced) is required, including:

    • load-bearing capacity,
    • surface evenness,
    • moisture level,
    • compaction,
    • friction coefficient,
    • compliance with runway geometry profiles.

The vehicle operates fully autonomously, using advanced measurement technologies, GNSS and LIDAR navigation systems, as well as integration with analytical software that enables the immediate generation of reports compliant with applicable standards.
