At the end of December 2025, the Municipal Plant of the Kościerzyna Commune expanded its fleet with a modern suction-washing special vehicle, with the body manufactured by Dobrowolski Sp. z o.o.
The vehicle was delivered under a tendering procedure won by Dobrowolski, offering the most favourable price of PLN 1,525,837.13.
Vehicle specification
The vehicle consists of two main elements:
– Body (tanker) – Dobrowolski brand
– Chassis – SCANIA brand
This is a universal municipal vehicle with a total tank capacity of 8,000 litres:
– Front part: 3,000 l – clean water
– Rear part: 5,000 l – waste
Application
The vehicle is intended for:
– performing sewage removal work,
– cleaning sanitary and storm sewer networks,
– servicing sewage pumping stations,
– rapid response to failures,
– maintenance and upkeep of sewer infrastructure.
Operation training
Employees of the water and sewage brigade of the Municipal Plant of the Kościerzyna Commune underwent training in the operation of the new vehicle, conducted by trainers from Dobrowolski Sp. z o.o.
Significance for residents
As the Kościerzyna Commune emphasises, the sewer network is systematically expanding – in the past year, 192 new sanitary sewer connections were made.
Thanks to the new vehicle, it will be possible to:
– shorten the time for removing blockages in the sewer network,
– improve the efficiency of sewage pumping stations,
– reduce the number of failures, which translates into lower transport and sewage treatment costs.
